I joined VMware as a software developer in 2008 to work on technologies for the enterprise desktop that reduce storage costs and allow rapid provisioning of VMs. Seeing that there was little information on the web explaining how to use the vSphere APIs to create linked clones and thin provisioned VMs, I started this blog in October 2009 to share examples and discuss use cases.

I am interested in future desktop models for the enterprise and the home (VDI, ChromeOS, etc.), tools for managing virtual configuration and controlling VM sprawl, and future product licensing models.

I live near Palo Alto, California.
